About the ArtistMy name is Tom Spross and I am in love with the southwest and the Rocky Mountain region of this great country. I hope to capture some of that feeling in my images. Fully experiencing reality, refining photographic technique, and sharing my visual impressions of the world is a privilege and challenge that enhances my life in so many ways. Sight is the most complex and engaging of our senses. This world presents endless possibilities to stimulate and reward those who appreciate both natural and man-made beauty. I also feel fortunate to be able to explore the expanding creative possibilities that digital photography presents. After a successful career as a computer consultant, I am in a position to share more than my photographs. In 2010 I donated 100% of my profits to two non-profit organizations: Doctors without Borders and Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary. Please know that I appreciate any purchases of my work, and that a portion of each sale will be used to help those in need. Please contact me if you have a charity auction or other event that might benefit from a donation of my prints. Organizations which I have donated prints to include: Untied Way via Intel online auction; Cottonwood Montessori School; Rio Rancho Education Foundation; Help-Portrait; The Susan Giblin Foundation; Watermelon Mountain Ranch retail store; and Albuquerque Meals on Wheels. I am currently Vice-president of the Corrales Society of Artists, and I am a 4-year member of the Albuquerque Photographers' Gallery in Old Town - serving as their webmaster, and head of the marketing committee. |
